Now then old Geoffers, did you expect to get away with that comment. I think not. I seem to remember 'Tangerine Dream' was scribed onto your bike when you bought it. To me that means no imagination from the current owner, relying entirely on the previous owners somewhat obvious choice. I think the only reason you've kept the name is because of the fruity number you carry around on the back. As far as the 'vibrant orange' is concerned, it's still no match for the 'shimmering silver' that you've always been so jealous of!!! Bring it on !!

So Mr Blakes 7 you think the current owners are unimaginative do you? Well for your information the reason the bikes name has not been changed Is because the name is stupendously accurate, in all definitions, and with a bike Of such a rare colour it would be very difficult to come up with a name that Describes it so very well, unlike the much more VERY COMMON uninteresting Plain silver version some (Vulgar new money) people tend to go for, which would be quite easy to come up with a name, although being such a COMMON colour it would probably take a little while to find a spare name. I can see why some people would go for the extremely plain type of bike, especially if they were of an extravagantly outrageous some may even say garish nature. As for the fruity little number I carry on the back!!!?? Tigger is our lucky mascot, somewhat like the cute little number you carry everywhere on your PLAIN silver bike, one often wonders what people carry in these so called man bags!!? The colour orange by far out shines the silver tinfoil look which is so dated now and very old hat. The new young and upcoming wingers tend to go for the new age colours, as this seems to be the way forward, and the future, but I can still see why some older people would stick to the plain some may even say boring, even anaemic looking thing!!, but that’s enough of me talking about the Brilliantly named, vibrantly stunning Orange Tangerine Dream; one wouldn’t want to bore you, I mean obviously I could go on and on and on, but unfortunately it would be lost on PLAIN silver Owner. I hope this helps to give you a small insight and to understand what its like owning such a colourful machine unfortunately you will never really be able to understand whilst you only have just! A plain silver one. I rest my case

Geoff, I do recall another 2 coloured Tangerine Dream in Kelso, or have you forgotten???? As for Tigger he sit on well and rounds off that somewhat plain rearend that 1800's have. As for the "vision" that fills the passanger seat, how she manages to continually outshine the "Orange" still amazes me. It is a bit better than the "orange tan" worn by you on your Hols, I have to say. One thing I do know is that there is only 1 Wing with my name on it, as I am the only one left in the family, with the same name. It does have people ask if we knew how to spell when we had it done, which only goes to enphasize its true brillance and uniqueness, as with most Cornish folk, and don't start on the Cornish, or we will be here forever, and I have probably heard tham all, along with the Paddy jokes, which is my brother in laws name, anyway. Back to reality, Costa-Pente is from my name Pentecost, and there are not many of those around within the Wing organisation. Whatever their colour, they are still the best looking machines on the pard, just some can pull off the "posing" better than us other conservative types. |

Nice one Neville !!! Let's keep that orange peeled loser firmly in his place. Some of us have subtle sophisticated colours like you and me Neville, whilst others just choose a colour to hide rust and to try and attract attention from disfunctional Bees !! Game, set and match I believe, Mr Smith...

Ours is called " Mon Chere", the reason for this is the love that we both have for her and the fact that she is a lucious black cherry colour. |

I must say, our's does get a few comments, and we are continually asked if we have left out the letter "L", and when they hear the Queen's English being spoken in reply, they do look amazed.Generally this God given language being spoken as it should, does startle a lot of people. But no it is spelt correctly "Costa-Pente". Reason, ask the Queen. |

So there I was looking through the wing span as you do trying to relate to something, when all of a sudden I came across this stunning picture on page 61, of a major celebrity pictured next to that guy from coronation street, I could not believe it there it was, the fantastic tangerine dream, so straight away I thumbed through the rest of the wing span looking for a Turquoise turpentine bread van, and a shivering plane silver thing, when to my surprise there wasn't one, well what a shock that was, to discover that people had taste after all? not 1 turquoise paraffin burner to be seen, but hey there was a couple of sympathy shots of a plain silver bike, but I suppose someone will always buy the cheap imitation thinking that they have got a bargain. you never know one may even have a CB fitted. --Last edited by geoff on 2009-11-07 09:26:43 --

Yes but what the caption did not say was. "Being over taken on the inside of the bend by 3 trikes a parafin burner and a garden shed"

Having quickly scanned 'Wingspan' on it's delivery last week, I failed to notice 'Satsuma nightmare' on page 61 (that's how much it attracted my attention). On closer inspection (quite close actually as the photo is relatively small for Wingspan), I pondered on the trickery of photography. Has Mr Bates had a hand in erasing the sidestand to make it look as though Mr Smith and his long suffering wife, were actually moving at the time of the photo. And the colour.....nestling somewhere between the red spectrum and the rust spectrum.....it became painful viewing after a while. Long live all the solid colours!!! and 'SHIMMERING SILVER' of course.

Hi Blake.I too never saw it so it shows just how much it stands out (I dont think). Doesn't Geoff realise that there are only so many times they can put the Turquoise and the Silver sparklers in and they have to put in the rust buckets somewhere so as near to the back as they can in fact very near the for sale and give away section allthough i think he would strugle to give it away. I wonder if he as thought about putting it in the Grot Bike competition next year (lol). See you soon Tony.
