According to my pdf of parts that is what its called any how.

Right the rear fender panel on my 1800 is held on by 4 setting bolts, these being small bolts with dome tops and hex shaped holes in.

There in is the problem one of the hex shaped holes is round, the RAC took the fender on and off on the roadside only 2 months ago so it cannot be on too solid can it??

Any how, release spray does not work and my impact driver does not have any Hex bits so I am stuck.

Bearing in mind I'm not mechanical and therefore my tool kit is limited, any ideas??

I have posted this on main GWOCGB site but am hoping some yorkie wil say I've got just the tool pop around to mine. Wishful thinking??

gary has some hex bits for an impact driver, you are welcome to borrow them.  As you know we dont have an 1800 but you could have a go with them.  We are coming through to York on Sunday if you want us to drop them in.

I have an impact driver, but tbh the hole is so round now I think HEX is out. I put an hex one on the end of my drill and the hole is now really really round!!!

Your offer is appreciated, but its me wanting the favour so I'd be happy to pop to yours either way if no better offers come up then your help is appreciated.

There is no rush envolved, after the SLP I felt a bit naked and I have some led's to fit under the wheel arch.

two solutions i have used before.
1)drill a hole down the centre of the offending bolt then use a STUD EXTRACTOR to remove it.
2)an emergency method i have used many times with some success -find an old hexagon head bolt which is just too large for the rounded socket and holding it square to the rounded hole, hammer the threaded end images/icones/icon8.gif  into the hole as far as possible then unscrew with spanner.this does depend on the offending bolt not being able to 'bounce' as you tap it.good luck
