Interesting facts gathered by Roger.

Much has been said about our beloved Yorkshire Region over the past few years ... oodles of good things and a few not very pleasant comments. But when we consider our position generally, things really are going from strength to strength for Yorkshire. So here are some facts you probably never knew about the Yorkshire Region of the GoldWing Owners' Club of Great Britain.

Yorkshire's average attendance at meetings over the last 4 years is 41 members with the highest number of members ever attending a Yorkshire Regional meeting being this month.  October 2009 saw 79 members signing in to our meeting and to compliment that figure, our region has attracted 37 new members since March this year ... that's more new members than any other region of the GWOCGB.  And with our current membership standing at 277 members, we have, by far, the largest number of members of any other region in the GWOCGB ... in fact that figure is higher than some members of GWEF have for a whole country!

We can also boast of more members not living in Yorkshire, who prefer to come to our meetings ... that's pretty good don't you think?

So congratulations Yorkshire ... you are in the best region of the best club in the UK.  Bring on 2010.

Jan,

Jean and I love the Yorkshire Region and we also think it's the best.

Roger,

Thanks for digging out these facts ... they simply confirm and underline what we already knew. Our meetings are well attended and so are our events so well done to the great team of officers who are making it all work.

We are looking forward to a fabulous 2010 with our Wing Ding and another SLP already under way … things can only get better!

I agree, very interesting. It just goes to prove that when we all pull together, we in Yorkshire have a region that's second to non.
It would also be interesting to see what the average length of membership is?

Neil i think its a bit unfair on some people to ask them for the length of their member on a open forum, lol smile/!moon.gif  smile/!icon_razz.gif  smile/!hinhin.gif

Just a thought if we currently have 277 members, then how come that on the members photos on the web site there are only 37 members, are the rest just too shy to come out and be counted?
